Joshua John Teare, known professionally as Teardrop, is an American DJ and MC. Teardrop was born and raised in San Ramon, California. Growing up in the Bay Area, he was introduced to many different genres of music, including trance, techno, and house. He's since evolved to include cross-genre and open-format sets, giving him the range any event requires, even deserves. Being versatile in music, culture, and history is his passion, which includes learning multiple languages, developing as a polyglot. Teardrop is currently bilingual, speaking and mastering both English and Español. He looks forward to the day he can bring his musical experiences to international events and connecting with those people in their language.

He resides in Mapleton with his family. He always finds any moment deserves the right track to enhance it. Whether it’s exercising, roadtripping, doing yard work, or focusing on work, it all can be better with some background music.

  • 1-2 hours before the event begins to set up our equipment, touch base, and conduct sound and lighting checks. ☑️

  • Absolutely, we offer music services for ceremonies, receptions, and any other special moments during your event. ☑️

    Each part of the agenda deserves the right level of energy, which is measured between 1 and 5, where 1 is calm instrumental music and 5 is a total dancing banger. Most music, for example, will range between 2 and 4. ⚡️

  • We have a vast music library and can cater to a wide range of genres, from pop and rock to hip-hop, EDM, and more. We'll work with you to create the perfect playlist, including what you do not want to hear.

  • Teardrop is skilled at seamless transitions between songs to maintain a continuous flow of music and keep the energy up. 💥

    The more technical abilities include, but are not limited to—and generally have more than one applied—the following:

    Beat-matching, phrasing, EQ mixing, crossfading, filtering, FX and samples, key mixing, looping, scratching, a-cappella/instrumental/acoustic mixes. ⚡️

  • We have worked at numerous venues in the area and are familiar with the setup and acoustics. If we haven't been to your venue before, we'll visit it in advance to ensure everything goes smoothly. 😊

  • Our cancellation policy is outlined in our contract, which we can provide upon booking. Generally, we require advance notice and may have a cancellation fee, but we are understanding of unforeseen circumstances.

    Half of the booking amount is due to reserve your event window with our services.
